The SMF/BT (GEN1) and SMF/BTAS (GEN3) are the multi function controllers which requires only an active and a neutral connection.
It is a PIXIE Secondary device which needs PIXIE Master devices to operate
- – Think of this device as a permanently powered Bluetooth remote control with 2 specific operating modes
- – This device does not control the load directly and hence does not have a load rating
- – The 2 modes are MIMIC Mode, where the device is paired to directly mimic the Master PIXIE device to which it is paired; Scene Mode, where PIXIE scenes can be paired to a single press and/or double press action
Its is recommended that where-ever a neutral is available, use the SMF products for all multiway control (2-way, 3-way…8-way), group control and scene control.
The S2W/BT is a classic 2 way switch that is best used where existing 2 way or 3 way straps already exist and 2 way or 3 way control is required OR no Neutral is present and you cannot use the SMF/BT or SMF/BTAS Multifunction controller for multiway control.
It is also a PIXIE Secondary device which needs PIXIE Master devices to operate.
- – Wire in parallel – active and switched active by ‘converting’ your in situ straps
- – 3 way maximum setup via this wiring configuration is achievable
- – MIMIC mode only available, no scene mode as per SMF/BT capability, If this is required consider using the SMF/BT instead
- – Note: This device only has an illuminated indicator LED when the attached load is operated
