Exact details of how these will be deployed with PIXIE are still to be finalised, but likely they will be deployed, at least initially, by use of the PIXIE Gen3 Gateway SGW3/BTAM
Depending on development timing this may be available in 2023 for deployment, however more information will follow.
The PIXIE smart home ecosystem is under constant development and all internet-enabled functions require both the PIXIE Gateway hardware installed and setup and the free PIXIE Plus App.

We know this is a “Chicken or Egg?” situation, and you can have your say and place your vote by pressing send on the form below to let us know that you would like PIXIE and Apple Homekit to work together.
Your feedback is very important and helps us develop a roadmap for new features.
Is there anywhere on your webpage there are instructions on how to connect the pixie app to Alexa? This page says you can but there are no instructions on how to
This is super easy josh. In the PIXIE PLUS app head to the “COG” icon in the top right hand corner. On the following page select the “INTEGRATIONS” menu item.
On this list of integrations provided select CONNECT TO ALEXA and the App will guide you through the connection process.
Home kit would be a good selling point to my customers but matter support would make more sense. PS your Pixie timer switch and Pixie sensors are not visible to Smarthings.
Hi Ward re the Smarthings visibility of certain PIXIE products – yes this is one of the disadvantages of the current range of solutions like Smarthings, Matter, Homekit etc., they only allow certain “device types” and limit what / how we as manufactures can provide for direct integration in these platforms. Its this move towards homogenization which can sometime make smarter systems dumber as they try and fit in to a very specific idealized way of operating.
In this case, with SmartThings even PIXIE scenes are not visible – which is a powerhouse of PIXIE core functionality. To make this work would require a core code change to the fundamental way PIXIE operates, and compliance with “this is how we do things here” approach. Unlikely to be changed in the near term.
Hi Simon, thanks for the info on Pixie/SmartThings integration of devices. An update on this in the last couple of days is the outdoor and indoor sensors are now showing in SmartThings as a contact sensor with a state of closed. I haven’t checked if they move to an open state if triggered by movement. Not sure if this happened from a recent update with SmartThings or it was a Pixie update? In addition, the Pixie timer switch is now showing in SmartThings as a switch, previously didn’t show at all.
How is this going. Wondering if there are any improvements on this because I was hoping to get pixie however I would like HomeKit enabled lights
Hi Aiden, what specifically about “Homekit enabled lights’ is appealing to you that you think you cant do with PIXIE right now without and official HomeKit interface?
HomeKit makes everything more integrated within the iOS ecosystem, having Homepods, Apple Tv, Carplay, everything all in one within the HomeKit app just makes everything more seamless. I will be getting Pixie light switches and garage door opener however i would really like to see Homekit being pushed through or even integration with Home Assistant API. I have many other devices within my HomeKit at the moment, it would be great to add in Pixie Plus to this. Has there been any movement on the HomeKit Program from early last year?
It is also the same as the Google Assistant, you have additional functionalities with their ecosystem, adding it to HomeKit rather than just Siri Shortcuts saves users time and adds ease of use.
Your websites boasts these features for google assistant under this link, adding it to Siri makes so much sense and would definitely help marketing.
HomeKit API is actually a dead end, Apple are transitioning to Matter and no longer developing the HomeKit API. The other big companies have not officially said they are stopping development of their own systems but their releases have slowed significantly. All new home automation products should be supporting Matter.
If not they can’t be taken seriously.
