PIXIE has a dedicated Bluetooth mesh booster to improve signal strength and mesh networking.
There are also specific master devices which act as boosters as well.
PIXIE Master Devices with Boosters #
There are 2 primary products which are often used as additional boosters.
- 1. PIXIE Smart GPO – SPO23BTAM – Double Power Point
- 2. PIXIE Smart Plug – Plug into any power point.
These devices simply need to be scanned into the PIXIE App, added to the PIXIE network and they will begin to act as a booster.
The added benefit is that you can also control any appliance or lamp you plug in as part of your PIXIE home too!
Dedicated Bluetooth Mesh Booster for Gen3 PIXIE Networks #
The PIXIE PC100T-R-BTAS is a PIXIE Gen3 product and can support homes with home to 128 PIXIE Master devices.
Its possible to have scores of these devices as part of a network so you can always get a booster where you need it.
This is a small device ( about the size of an electronic transformer) and will fit through a 70mm downlight cut out.
Your electrician can install this with a permanent active, add it to the network using the process in the link below, and then place it safely into your ceiling space through a downlight hole.
The PC100T-R-BTAS is a secondary device and does not scan or get added to a PIXIE network in the normal way.
