There are differences between STC/BT (Smart Timer Controller) and STS350BT (Smart Timer Switch).
Smart Timer Switch – STS350BT #
The STS350BT is a PIXIE master device which is designed to directly control the load to which it is connected – like an exhaust fan or heated towel rail.
The STS350BT provides BOTH the ability to Schedule AND the ability to operate Time-outs with a duration of between 1 minute to 24 hours.

Smart Timer Controller – STC/BT #
The STC/BT is capable of controlling PIXIE Master devices OR PIXIE Groups – where a PIXIE group is a collection of PIXIE devices.
Its is a secondary device that does NOT control any loads directly.
Instead is used to operate PIXIE devices without timing capability from the wall.
For example, a home may have PIXIE switches and dimmers installed for outside lighting.
The home owner would like to be able to press a single button on the wall to activate all of their outside lighting AND know that within 30 minutes ( the duration of the time-out set when setting the device up), all of the outside lighting will turn off.
