Circa March 2019, updates have been discovered with Google Android API affecting Bluetooth LE technology, which now requires location permissions to be granted in order to use the app.
In order to use Bluetooth features in an Android mobile phone (after android 6.0), the user must declare Bluetooth permission and the location permission to regain functionality.
