Can I turn off the dimming function on the *PIXIE Smart Dimmer* and convert the device to a switch to control a non-dimmable load?

The SAL Pixie smart dimmer is not capable of performing in this manner. You can use the SAL Pixie Smart Switch instead – (SWL350BT).

There are circumstances where you may like to limit the dimming of a connected load. The PIXIE SDD350BT G2 – smart dimmer does have a minimum load setting whereby its possible to set the minimum dimming level, to be the same as the MAX dimming level.

This will stop that load from being dimmed manually or from the Apps, converting that load to a switched load… – almost.

• – This can only be done to lighting loads
• – When the dimmers is turned off – the built-in RAMP-TO-OFF feature still performs
• – This means that if a non dimmable load is connected, that when turning that lighting circuit off, you are likely to experience flashing as the dimmer – dims to off.

This is not a solution we recommend as it provides a sub-optimal experience.

With the current SDD350BT G2, this behaviour cannot be edited.
