PIXIE works with Big Ass Fans through a combination of the BigAss fan 0-10v module (model#: 006352) and the PIXIE 0-10v Controllers.
This operates with both SAL PIXIE and PIXIE PLUS apps.
🌟
Simple, Smart controlAs the PIXIE PC152V-R-BTAM is a PIXIE Master device this allows users to access all of the group, scenes, schedules and associated voice control scenarios when using voice control capabilities too.
What’s Needed to Make this Work? #
For each Big Ass fan you will need:
- – 1 x Haiku L 0–10 V driver – Model# 006352
- – 1 or 2 PIXIE PC152V-R-BTAM – 0-10v Controller
The Haiku L 0–10 V driver offers the convenience of integrating Haiku L fans with a PIXIE 0-10v dimmer using an industry standard protocol.
The little driver is tucked away neatly in the escutcheon, the 0–10 V driver provides independent control of fan speeds and light intensity while supporting daisy-chaining for one or up to 10 fans.
The Haiku L 0–10 V driver driver offers ultimate flexibility of control for Haiku L by providing a voltage between 0 and 10 VDC to produce varying fan speeds and lighting levels using the voltage “source” standard — 10 V as 100% on and 0 V as off.
How to set it up? #
There are 2 simple steps.
First install the driver into the Big Ass fan base.
- – Make sure SINKING dip switches are set
- – Make sure 0-10v cabling is connected to the correct input needed
⚠️
One or 2 PIXIE Controllers Needed? The Big Ass module allows connection of discreet fan control and light control 0-10v modules. This means if you have a Big Ass fan with both a light and fan and you would like to control both you will need one (1) Big ass Fan module and two (2) PIXIE 0-10v controllers.
In the PIXIE or PIXIE PLUS App, scan for the PIXIE modules, make sure when adding the 01-0v controller wired to fan control input that you identify this as a fan controller. This will ensure you are provided both the correct interface in the App for fan control and precise mapping of the 0-10v controllers signal out to the Big Ass fan driver.
If you have another module for light control this can just be added as a standard 0-10v master dimmer controller – normal operation.
What do you get? #
- – Intuitive fan control interface in the PIXIE Apps
- – Access to all PIXIE groups, scenes, schedules and control aspects.
- – Ability to mount up to 8 PIXIE Multifunction Rotary controllers on the wall to control directly.
- – Independent fan control: speed up/down and on/off
- – Independent light control: intensity up/down and on/off
- – No programing involved

What is Sink versus Source Mode? #
Always set the dipswitches to SINK mode, never source mode.
❗
Don’t Use Source ModeIf you set the dipswitches to source mode AND for some reason the PIXIE controllers are powered off ( and the fan is not) or the PIXIE controller fails, the fan will spin by itself with no way to turn it off.
