The PIXIE Smart Zone Controller SCZ248N-R-BTAM is an 8-channel Bluetooth® mesh 24V AC damper controller with spill-zone and on-device test buttons, delivering fast, smart zoning for ducted aircon systems in Australia by opening and closing 24V AC dampers to allow or stop airflow to each zone. Users simply nominate use of the PIXIE Zone Controller instead of the manufacturers Zone Controller.
As no physical connection to the manufacturer’s head unit is required, and no connection to the AC Controller is required (whether its a PIXIE AC Controller or other manufacturers AC Controller), only connection to dampers is needed; making the PIXIE Zone Controller very flexible from an installation perspective.
Air Conditioning Zone Control is then accessible for users via the PIXIE Apps wirelessly, PIXIE Touch Panel, and Multifunction Controllers (including Battery powered) – if on wall buttons are required by the home owners.
It operates with most 24V AC dampers typically used in Australia for ducted air conditioning Zone Control applications with up to 8 damper connections per device and a maximum of 16 zones – by simply adding another PIXIE Zone Controller into the system. This makes it suitable for both existing ducted solution looking for a smarter option, and new Ducted Air Conditioning Systems.
This device can be installed as part of a larger PIXIE smart home installation or as a stand alone addition to a DAKIN Ducted Aircon system with mobile App control on iOS and Android mobile phones and tablets.
