# How do I set the SAL PIXIE timer for activity under an hour?

This function must be set via the SAL PIXE app or SAL PIXIE Apps.

Even if you are not planning on using the PIXIE Apps to control, if you require the ability to modify the time-out duration of the timer you will need to use an App.

Once the app is in use, you can also create schedules.

**This relates specifically to the STS350BT PIXIE Smart Timer Switch.**

## SAL PIXIE App

This operate a little differently depending on the PIXIE App you are using.

###

### If You're using the SAL PIXIE App

If you already use SAL PIXIE App, from the home screen head to the devices page.

Press the Blue Name bar for the STS350BT and on this next screen, make sure the device is currently off.

Then in the top right hand corner, press the 3 little dots and choose EDIT.

You will now see you can EDIT the duration of the timer; press the little pencil icon, update the time to your desired time out and save it.

You're done and the time out duration has been updated.

### If you're not using any App

You'll have to start if you want to modify the duration of the time-out.

This video is a good place to start to learn how to add devices into the PIXIE App. It will only take a few minutes.
